Summer Eights/Sports Results – week 5

Badminton 

Lost 5-1 in the quarter-finals of cuppers against Magdalen. Shout outs to Jack Hayward-Cook for his customary brilliance, Jonny Betteridge for winning his singles match and Owain Turner for playing while still hungover following post-finals celebration.

Tennis

Smashed it against Pembroke, shout out to David Hirst for managing to win a doubles match on his own.

Cricket

Won against New College 2nd’s and are now through to the quarter finals of cuppers.

Table Tennis

George Berry was knocked out by the mens number one, now leaving Nithesh and Christoph to fight for Jesus glory.

ROWING

M1 rowed over for the first 3 days then had a glorious bump right outside the boathouse yesterday to finish on +1

M2 ended where they started with 2 row overs, one bumped and one bump

M3 got the dreaded spoons with a total of -4 but for a whole crew of novices did amazingly well

W1 finished +1 with 2 bumps making up for being bumped by Lincoln on Wednesday (video here)

W2 rowed over for 3 days then got bumped on the last day, ending on -1
