What is Eduroam?

Eduroam is a wireless network delivered by an international federation of academic institutions, which allows its users to visit other organizations and use the same username and password as they would use at their home institution. How do I configure Eduroam on my laptop?

We recommend you do this after connecting to JESU-WLAN in order to be able to connect at your department and other sites around the country.

  1. Go to https://cat.eduroam.org and choose Oxford University.
  2. Download the installer for your operating system.
  3. Run the Installer and use your Remote Access username and password.
  4. To get this account fo to the Self Registration Homepage https://register.it.ox.ac.uk/self/index to set up a Remote Access Account if you do not already have one)

 

What are my Eduroam username/password/domain?

Username and password
The username and password comes from your remote access account (used for University VPN and OWL).
This is NOT your Oxford SSO account. Note that when logging in you will need to add @OX.AC.UK , or you won’t get in.
