‘Cricket was my greatest reason for living’ – Harold Larwood
To paraphrase the England great, there can be no greater motive for studying at Jesus than the opportunity to don the famous whites of JCCC.
Following a remarkable 2016-17 season, which saw Jesus overcome intense heat, questionable pitches, and fortnightly top-order collapses to claim the Division Two title, these truly are halcyon days for the club.
Next year we aim to continue that form into Division One, the pinnacle of Oxford cricket; so, if you fancy yourself as the next Brian Lara or just want to laugh at Ed Whittaker continuously giving his wicket away by driving to mid-off, you should get involved.
Matches occur weekly in Trinity term, with regular net sessions planned in both Hilary and Trinity. Cricket at Jesus is a great opportunity to get to know new people, take a break from revision, and generally just have a laugh.
